About Us
The Unifying Meditation Institute is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. Its purpose is to create spiritual, physical and emotional well-being for individuals, families, communities, and society. The Unifying Meditation Institute was founded by Bob Tarantino Director of Education and Emanuel Sammartino, Executive Director. Emanuel, a long-time practitioner of oriental philosophy and holistic medicine, became a student of Bob’s in the early 90’s. After many years of prodding, Emanuel persuaded his teacher to bring in more students, and UMI was created. Bob has spent most of his life practicing and studying the meditation techniques of various traditions—- being initiated into beautiful traditions hailing from India, China, and Israel. By the middle 80’s, Bob began to focus his studies on the Holy Tradition of Shem and Eber——the Tradition of the Sefer Yetzirah…the Book of Formation.
Drawing on his vast experience with many traditions, Bob was able to unify the many into one. With the Sefer Yetzirah as his guide, he created the programs and offerings of UMI and has trained nearly 20 teachers, who are certified by him to teach anyone who desires to learn.
Both Emanuel and Bob have committed themselves to teaching the healing techniques of the Sefer Yetzirah without prejudice—-devoid of ideology, philosophy or religion. UMI respects all paths and seeks to unite in the Cosmic Sea.
Whether you are an atheist, agnostic, Jew, Christian, Muslim or a seeker without any label at all—-you can learn the UMI techniques and grow on every level.
